Student Council and PAWS joined forces this month to sponsor two local families during the holiday season. Students wrapped the gifts for each of these families with the generous donations of our CFIS families and staff. 🧡🎁🖤
The District has plans for a new transportation garage. This will be more cost-efficient than renovating the 50-year-old facility located on the Gurney Elementary campus. When reviewed as part of the Facility Master Plan in 2019, the report showed it was undersized and aging. Upgrades needed include repairing asphalt, paving, fencing/gates, and block heaters. The new building will be in the same location as the existing one. The School Board entered into a design contract with ThenDesign Architecture. Plans should be ready in February and the District will continue to keep residents updated on the progress.

This past weekend, Chagrin Falls Middle School made a spectacular showing at the Olmsted Falls Speech and Debate Tournament. In Speech, Natalie V. took 2nd place in Declamation, Frankie L. took 4th in Original Oratory, and Katie R. won 1st place in Original Oratory. In Debate, Claire R. took 3rd place in Extemporaneous Debate and Peter M. took 3rd place in Congressional Debate. All other competitors received exceptional scores and markings, and many of them competed for their first time ever! We are so proud of these hard working students!
