Robin is a Specialized Student Support Aide in our Preschool program who connects deeply with her students and their families. On any given day, you might find Robin with a lap full of preschoolers reading a favorite book, exploring the woods together, or bundled up and playing in the snow. She builds such meaningful relationships with her students for one simple reason: she truly loves spending time with them.
Robin was unable to join us at Convocation today when our Staff Member of the Year was announced, so the Gurney team helped us create an extra special surprise. A HUGE shoutout to the entire Gurney staff for keeping the news a secret so Robin’s family could be there when we surprised her yesterday afternoon! 🧡🖤

Kathryn Ohlrich, CFIS Teacher will be retiring from employment with Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools and is seeking reemployment to her same position(s) with the District after such retirement.
The Board of Education will hold a public meeting on June 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at 400 East Washington Street in Sands Community Room. At the June 30, 2026 Board meeting, the Board will consider the re-employment of Kathryn Ohlrich with the District.
Gurney second graders are putting their creativity and problem solving skills to work through their Mini Society economics project! 🧡🖤
Students are creating their own goods and services to “sell” while learning about pricing, marketing, and entrepreneurship. As part of the experience, two second grade classes are collaborating with Chagrin Falls High School Entrepreneurship students to develop slogans, price products, and design advertisements for their businesses.
