The Chagrin Falls Middle School/Intermediate School Drama Program invites the community to journey “Under the Sea” with its upcoming production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., November 13-15.
Featuring more than 76 cast and crew members, the musical brings the beloved story of Ariel, a young mermaid who dreams of life beyond the ocean, to the stage.
Performances will take place Friday, November 13, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 14, at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, November 15, at 1:30 p.m.
The production is directed by Pat Keller Haynish and Kirk Eichelberger, with musical direction by Craig McGaughey.

Spookyfest took over the library during advisory for some Halloween fun, complete with Tiger Perk drinks, contests and crafts!
Thanks to a grant from the Chagrin Falls Education Foundation, students also got creative making their own custom rally towels and bags using a heat press right in the library!

CFIS held a sock drive for Chagrin Falls VFW Post 12067, and students collected nearly 900 pairs of socks over the last two weeks!
This service project was connected to our Guidance curriculum and our 7 Mindsets themes of Passion First and We Are Connected. Students learned that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference and that giving back to others is a meaningful way to connect with our community.

A tour of the US Capital, visits to the National Archives, Flight 93 Memorial and then home. It's a long last day!
In the coming weeks, our 8th graders will take all they saw and experienced and use it in their classrooms in a variety of projects, including designing their own memorials.

The day continued with visits to Ford's Theatre and the Smithsonian museums, including American History and Air & Space.

While the rest of the school took the PSAT, our CFHS seniors headed out into the community for Philanthropy Day!
From helping at our elementary schools and lending a hand with gardening projects to delivering meals for Meals on Wheels, caring for animals at Party at the Barn and sorting books at the Kids' Book Bank, our seniors spent the day making a difference throughout the community.
Philanthropy Day is an opportunity for our seniors to step outside the classroom, connect with local organizations and experience the impact of giving their time and talents to others.
We're proud of these Tigers for representing Chagrin Falls Schools and putting service into action! 🐅

Undeterred by the rain, our runners brought energy and encouragement as course monitors, cheering on participants every step of the way.
We're proud of these Tigers for showing what teamwork, sportsmanship and giving back to the community look like, both on and off the course! 🧡

For some Intermediate School students, that exploration took them to Valley Art Center to see Art Works, an exhibition featuring Northeast Ohio artists who also work in arts education and leadership—including our own CFHS Art Teacher Jill Eisert!
The visit was one of many opportunities offered during Growth Block, a time when teachers give students the chance to dive deeper into an interest, subject or skill. That might mean exploring an art exhibition, tackling math puzzles or trying something completely new.
Different interests. Different experiences.

Eighth graders put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test as they programmed Sphero robots to navigate a croquet-style course. Along the way, they learned that a little trial, error and adjustment can make all the difference.
And this is just the beginning. The skills they’re building now will help prepare them for an upcoming drone project! 🚁
