Chagrin Falls Middle School (CFMS) and Chagrin Falls Intermediate School (CFIS) families and staff once again demonstrated the power of generosity and service, helping collect more than 3,700 pounds of food and household items as part of the Cleveland Foodbank’s annual Harvest for Hunger Food Drive. The food drive was organized by the CFMS and CFIS Student Councils. In partnership with the Chagrin Valley Fire Department, students, staff, and families across the district contributed donations to support local individuals and families facing food insecurity. The effort is part of a long-standing community tradition, with the fire department participating in the initiative for more than 20 years. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support,” said Jake Fried, firefighter/paramedic and Harvest for Hunger coordinator for the Chagrin Valley Fire Department. “Your generosity has made a meaningful impact on families in need throughout our region.” Throughout the drive, students and staff collected nonperishable food items and essential household goods, reinforcing lessons of service, compassion, and community responsibility. The Harvest for Hunger campaign benefits the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and its network of partner agencies, helping ensure that thousands of Northeast Ohio residents have access to nutritious food.
