117 Graduates Cross the Stage as 90% Head to Four-Year Colleges
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2025, Chagrin Falls High School celebrated its 137th graduating class with a commencement ceremony at Harris Stadium. The Class of 2025, comprising 117 graduates, marked another milestone in the school's proud tradition of academic excellence and community engagement.
The ceremony, which began at 2 p.m., was attended by families, friends, and community members who gathered to celebrate the achievements of these remarkable young adults. An impressive 90% of the graduating class plans to attend four-year colleges in the fall, demonstrating the strong academic foundation provided by Chagrin Falls Schools.
Student Leadership Takes Center Stage
The graduation ceremony featured several student speakers who have exemplified leadership throughout their high school careers. Delaney Elizabeth Joyce, Senior Class President, delivered remarks alongside William Henry Stinson, Student Council President. Additional speakers included Charles Patrick Bazzone, Fraya Rose Brattebo, and Claire Ryann Guddy, each representing the diverse talents and perspectives of their graduating class.

Leadership and Administration
Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Penczarski, along with Assistant Superintendent of Student Advancement Jarrod Mulheman and Assistant Superintendent of Technology, Innovation, Communication Mike Daugherty, joined the celebration. Chagrin Falls High School Principal Amanda Rassi and Assistant Principal Jessica Ross also participated in the ceremony, having worked closely with these students throughout their high school journey.
The Chagrin Falls Board of Education, led by President Lori Bendall and Vice President Lauren Miller, along with board members Steve Bordner, Laura Viola Hui, and Dr. Danielle Sabo, presided over the ceremony and diploma presentations.
A Tradition Continues
As the Class of 2025 sang their alma mater one final time, the words resonated with particular meaning: "Proudly singing of your honor, cry above the din, praise to thee, our Alma Mater, praise to thee, Chagrin." These graduates now join the ranks of thousands of Chagrin Falls alumni who have gone on to make their mark in communities across the nation and around the world.
The ceremony concluded with the traditional turning of tassels, marking the official transition from high school students to graduates ready to embark on their next chapter. As these 117 young adults leave the Chagrin Falls Schools’ community that has been their home for their formative years, they carry with them the values, education, and memories that will guide them throughout their lives.
