RE: Transportation and Bus Routing for Students at Chagrin Falls Schools

Parents,

We hope this email finds you well as you prepare for the start of school. We have been receiving a few questions regarding bus routes pick up locations. Bus routes are listed on the district website, www.chagrinschools.org in alphabetical order by individual address. Bus pick up locations remain the same as last school year.

Gurney and Intermediate School students will be picked up at the end of their driveways in most situations. Exceptions will be roads that the bus can’t travel down (Park Lane) or small cul de sac streets (Sundew Lane, Forest Drive). In those situations, pick up will be at the closest intersecting street.

Middle School and High School students will have the traditional group stops at intersections of larger streets and side streets. For example, Woodland court goes to Manorbrook Drive. On streets with less student density, we stop at the end of your driveway. Again, locations remain the same as last school year.

Kindergarten parents will be contacted individually before they start school to identify stop locations and procedures as well. Drop off locations in the afternoons will be the same as the morning pick up locations.

The Transportation Department will be responding to specific questions over email throughout the evening at [email protected]. The department will also be available for parent questions at (440) 893-4055 tomorrow starting at 6 AM to assist and answer any questions.

Please be aware that route times are slightly delayed on the first day as drivers allow for more time to ensure all students have the ability to get on the bus. Please be patient and know drivers will be taking the time to instruct students and families along the route if needed, and as always, precaution will be taken for the safe and friendly transportation of our students.

Sincerely,

Mike Morgan
Director of Transportation
