Kindergarten Registration Information

**IMPORTANT   DATES**
Kindergarten Registration: March 18th - 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Kindergarten Kickoff - Parent Meeting - April 6th - 6:00 pm
Kindergarten Screening - May 4 and 5, 2017
(If you are unsure about the decision to send your child to kindergarten, please register them and have them complete the kindergarten screening process and make your decision following that process)

A Few Reminders

  • January 9 school resumes for PreK - 6.
  • Gurney Spirit Week January 9-13.  Monday Mustache Day; Texas Tuesday -wear your favorite western inspired clothing; Workout Wednesday - wear your favorite workout clothing; Thawed Out Thursday - wear your favorite tropical/bright colored clothing, sunglasses, etc.; Friday Spirit Day - wear orange and black. Saturday, January 14 is Gurney Day at the CF Girls' Basketball Game - JV games starts at 1:00 p.m. and Varsity at 2:30 p.m. Purchase Gurney STUDENT tickets at Gurney or at the door for $1. Adult tickets and other Student tickets must be purchased at the door for $6.

REMEMBER Gurney's Big 5

Students will be going out for recess most days so please remember to send your child with the BIG 5 ... hats, gloves, coats, boots and snow pants. If your child does not have the BIG 5, they will not be allowed to play in the snow.

SaferOH Now Used by District as Tipline

SaferOH Now Used by District as Tipline

Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools has begun using a new safety resource, SaferOH, for its anonymous tip line that is free of charge. The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Public Safety established this service in response to Governor Kasich's comprehensive school safety plan. The tip line will accept both calls and texts 24 hours a day for registered schools. More +

Online Absence Reporting Forms

Online Absence Reporting
 All absences should be reported by 9:00 AM. Attendance Rules refresher per the Chagrin Schools Student Handbook.
 
 
Arrival - 8:25 a.m.
Classes begin at 8:35 a.m.
Dismissal - 3:20 p.m. 
 
Transportation Changes MUST be made by 2:00 p.m. and called in to the main office. No transportation changes will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. unless it is an emergency. Do not contact the teacher directly for any transportation changes during the day, call the Gurney office at 440-893-4030.
