Chagrin Falls Schools provides a range of support services known as pupil services that enable students to benefit from educational programs. These services are offered in addition to general education programming and assist in enhancing a student’s overall school experience. Pupil services within our district include:
Federal Title 1 Program
Section 504 for students with physical or mental disabilities
English as a Second Language
School Psychological Services
Related Services (speech/language, occupational, and physical therapies)
School Health Services
Attendance and Student Accounting including homeless and open enrollment

Lisa Shannon, Assistant Superintendent
Lisa Shannon has five years experience serving as the district’s Assistant Superintendent. Her responsibilities include implementing special education programming for students with disabilities under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Additionally, she supports English learners via the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. As Assistant Superintendent, Lisa provides leadership across several aspects of the Chagrin Falls Schools: District Leadership Team (DLT), Electronic Management Information System (EMIS), student registration/enrollment, Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC), District Testing Coordinator (DTC), and student health services, to name a few.
With 19 years in education, Lisa began her career as a teacher with the Springfield Local School District where she taught sixth and seventh-grade students, including students with disabilities. Her administrative path originated with the Twinsburg City School District as an assistant principal at Dodge Intermediate School. Lisa continued her career over the next five years with the Streetsboro City School District where she served as principal of Defer Intermediate School and Director of Student and Academic Services. She began working for the Chagrin Falls Schools as Director of Pupil Services in November 2012.
Lisa completed her Superintendent’s license from Ashland University in 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Education Administration from Kent State University, Lisa continues to tailor her specialty area of interest in special education. In 2016, she was awarded the Kathleen D. Shelby Outstanding Service Award from The Ohio School Speech Pathology and Educational Audiology Coalition (OSSPEAC) whose mission it is to remove communication barriers for Ohio’s children.
