Update Your All Call Information - IMPORTANT
Chagrin Falls Schools Asks for Parents Assistance in Launch of New School Messenger System

Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools has been utilizing an “all call” system for the past few years to send informational or emergency related calls to parents. In an effort to ensure district communication is sent out to the right people in timely manner, especially our students in case of an emergency, the district has selected a new calling system, School Messenger. This new system provides our team with additional communication options and calling features. School Messenger represents a cost savings for the district as well.

“As many of you are aware, last spring the district conducted a full campus evacuation and reunification due to a bomb threat.  As we debriefed upon this event, our messaging system was identified as an area for needed improvement,” said Superintendent Robert Hunt, Chagrin Falls Schools.  “There was an interest in deploying a system that had text messaging capability to reach parents and students in the time of an emergency much like they have at many colleges and universities.  This functionality is now available within our new system.  We are constantly striving to improve our preparedness and ability to effectively manage and communicate in times of crisis.  The addition of this system is part of this continuous improvement.”

Confirming Your Information

School Messenger pulls the household phone numbers from Infinite Campus when making general announcement or non-emergency notifications. In an emergency situation all numbers present in Infinite Campus will be contacted. We are asking that parents log in to Infinite Campus and verify all phone numbers. Please remember the number entered in the "Primary Household" field will receive the majority of notifications.

Text Messaging

One of the new features includes the ability to send text messages. The district will be rolling out text notifications to parents and students the week of December 11. If you would like your students to receive these notifications, please enter their cell phone information into Infinite Campus. You can do this by clicking "Family Members" inside of the Infinite Campus portal. Once there, find the student you would like to update and click "Update." Enter the student's cell phone number into the cell phone field and choose "Send Update."

Additional information will be sent out the week of December 11. The first step in this process is to ensure that the correct phone numbers are entered into the system.
