||Elementary grade students (K to 6th): Hold on to your helmets; saddle up your bikes and ride on over to Philomethian Street in Chagrin Falls on Saturday, April 29 from noon to 3pm for Bike-a-Palooza. FREE FOOD and AWESOME PRIZES
It’s a fun, interactive, and challenging bike event for families of students in grades K - 6 who can ride a two-wheeler. The Palooza has everything from helmet fitting, bike registration, and safety skill training. Bike experts from Geiger’s Ski & Sport Haus will be on hand to inspect bikes and make minor repairs. There is something for everyone. Younger students will learn basic skills like stopping, scanning and signaling turns and will practice on a series of courses in the parking lot at Chagrin Falls Intermediate School. All participants will practice the safe way to exit a driveway, how to look for traffic, negotiate an intersection, and avoid common road hazards. Older students will engage in competitions and practice riding with a backpack.
The event is FREE to everyone.
