STRATEGIC PLAN
2008-2013
The past year, over 65 community members, parents and school staff and administrators developed a new five year strategic plan for the Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools. The committee identified the challenges facing our school district and developed six measurable district strategic goals to address these needs. Specific action plans were constructed to achieve the goals by defined timelines. The strategic plan was unanimously approved by the Board of Education on June 16, 2008.
The six goals provide a framework to allow the Chagrin Falls School District to move forward in the most challenging areas facing schools today: Curriculum and Instruction, Environment and Culture, Communications, Financial Accountability, 21st Century Technology, and Facilities. Our schools will always strive for excellence, and this community-led effort will help keep our schools highly rated locally, statewide, and nationally.
I thank all of the participants who volunteered their time, effort and talents to the strategic planning process. A special thank you to community member Kris Gillespie for her leadership during the process of developing the plan.
Sincerely,
Stephen L. Thompson
Superintendent of Schools
