CROSSING GUARD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CFIS

One of the great things about living in Chagrin is that many of our Intermediate School Children can walk to and from school and our entire 4th - 12th grade students can walk to town after school with friends. They can do this in large part due to our volunteer crossing guards that not only remind vehicles to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk, provide an extra visible adult when a lot of children are out and about but the remind and reinforce to the students how to be safe when walking.

Due to changing work schedules and an extended trip out of town we currently have a need for crossing guards from now until the end of the school year and the beginning of February until mid-April from 7:45-8:15, five days a week (if the afternoon shift from 3:20-3:50 would work better for you, we might have some guards that could switch to mornings).

In as little as one half hour shift a week, you can be a part of helping keeping our children safe when they are out in our wonderful town. For more information, go to SafeRoutesChagrin.com or email Jen Condon, jensc1968@gmail.com.
