Biography - Rob Weber


 

Rob was elected and served on the Board of Education from 2006 through 2009, and was appointed to a vacancy on the Board from July 2012 through December 2013. He was re-elected to the Board in November 2012, and his current term ends in December 2017. Both on the Board, and prior, he has served the District in numerous capacities. This includes acting as the Board’s liaison to numerous organizations and serving on various District committees including the Technology Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee, the Cost Containment Committee among others. In addition, Rob served as Chairman of the District’s successful 2012 Operating Levy Campaign.

Rob started his career with Ameritrust Bank in Cleveland where he worked as a commercial lender. He left that position after three years to pursue his M.B.A. at the Wharton School. 

Following graduation, he joined Price Waterhouse in their turnaround consulting group. From there he went to work for Linsalata Capital Partners, a leading middle market private equity firm headquartered in Northeast Ohio. He was a Managing Director where he was responsible for completing acquisitions and overseeing portfolio company investments.

Rob retired from Linsalata Capital Partners in 2008 after a 15 year career in private equity. His board experience includes serving on a dozen different corporate boards and being Chairman of four of them. Rob presently is on the boards of Manhattan Beachwear and 1EDI Source.

Rob was born and raised in Chagrin Falls. He attended Chagrin Falls Schools from K-12 graduating in 1981. He attended Miami University and received his B.S. in Business Administration in 1985. He earned his M.B.A. at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1990.

Rob and his wife Mary Jo live in Chagrin Falls. They have three children. Brock, the oldest, graduated from Chagrin Falls High School in 2012, and Abby graduated in 2013. Both currently attend Boston College. Rem, the youngest, will graduate from Chagrin Falls High School in 2017.
