Business/Facilities Department
The Business/Facilities Department is responsible for the maintenance of district buildings and grounds. We work to provide safe and efficient facilities for the use of students, staff, and community members.

Facility rentals are available through the facilities office. Please download the rental forms and submit to the facilities office. Your reservation will be confirmed after the facilities office is in receipt of your insurance information and down payment. You must have a signed rental permit to ensure that your rental is confirmed.

Biography
Christopher Woofter currently is the Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives. This is a new role for the district that encompasses the responsibility of daily operations under Food Services, Transportation, Custodial, Grounds, and Maintenance. Additionally this role includes Employment, Human Resources, Strategic Planning and coordination of the new Ohio Teacher Evaluation System.

Mr. Woofter served as the principal of the Chagrin Falls Intermediate School for two school years from 2011 - 2013. Prior to that, he served as an administrator in Nordonia City Schools. In total he has fourteen years of administrative experience at the building level.

In addition, Christopher has served as an Adjunct Professor for The University of Akron for Project GRAD, a special learning initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation as well as recently teaching graduate classes for prospective principals. Mr. Woofter has presented at the Capitol Conference for the Ohio School Board Association on district technology implementation.

He currently participates on the district Professional Development Committee helping to plan and evaluate professional development within the Chagrin Schools as well as leading with the district Technology Committee. Mr. Woofter has served as World Language Committee Chair and attended the National Chinese Language Conference in Washington D.C. He has also traveled to China in partnership with Chagrin’s sister school; Huipu Education Group.

This past year, Mr. Woofter was selected by the United States Department of Education to serve as federal grant evaluator for Race to the Top grant reviews.

Christopher holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Akron. He has completed the School Improvement Program at Yale University and continues to pursue ongoing education through seminars and workshops.

Biography:
James Nace currently serves as the Director of Facilities Operations at Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools. He is responsible for operations of facilities and management of our custodial, grounds and maintenance teams. James has worked for Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools since October 2014.

James previously served as the Riverfront District Manager for the City of Cuyahoga Falls. In this position he managed a public recreation and entertainment district that attracts over 300,000 visitors a year.

Prior to his position with the City of Cuyahoga Falls he served as the Operations Manager for the Nordonia Hills City School District. As the Operations Manager he managed a comprehensive six-building construction and renovation project, food service operations, and the maintenance and upkeep of six educational facilities. He has over twenty-five years of management experience and seventeen years of facility management experience.
Prior to working at Nordonia Hills City Schools he worked for the DaimlerChrysler Corporation as a production supervisor and as a production supervisor and assembly line manager for the Amana Corporation.

Prior to working in manufacturing he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He is a veteran of Desert Storm and had various leadership assignments in Europe, North Africa, Southwest Asia, and the United States. His last assignment while serving on active duty was at The Ohio State University where he was the Director of Instruction for the Military Science Department and Assistant Professor of Military Science.

James holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Wyoming.

AHERA Management Plan 
In compliance with federal law, the Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools maintains an active AHERA plan. The AHERA Management Plan is available for viewing by appointment with the Business Office.
 
 
Plumbing Fixture Grant Program
The Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools has utilized the OFCC Lead Plumbing Fixture Replacement Assistance Grant Program. This grant program was conducted from November 2016 - February 2017. We had 110 fixtures tested across the district and 21 fixtures were eligible for replacement under the grant. The complete report is available for viewing by appointment with the Business Office.
